Our Home
Our home is a 4 bedroom ranch built in the 1950’s. Walking into the living room, you are greeted with a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan, vaulted ceilings, skylights, ceiling fans and open concept living space. There is a 65” TV and a u-shaped sectional for family time and the coffee table lifts and opens to provide a nice table for games or snacking.
The dining room (which is generally taken over by remote work computers when we are there) has windows on three walls with amazing views. There is one step down into the dining room.
The kitchen is smaller than the gourmet kitchen I am used to at home, but I love the open concept and island cook top making it easy to converse with family while preparing meals. We have furnished it with the small appliances we love at home such as a coffee maker with pods, kitchen aid mixer, immersion blender, and crock pot.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and large windows overlooking the back yard and the lake. The second king bedroom has a pack and play and changing area. The queen bedroom has a desk for remote work including a 20” Scepter monitor Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse and a docking station. The 4th bedroom has a single over double bunk and a door adjoining it to the queen bedroom.
There is a full bath between the two king bedrooms and a half bath by the entry. Additionally there is a laundry room with stackable washer/dryer, utility sink and a mini room with another toilet and a shower. There is one step down to the laundry room. Coming off the laundry room is the door to the garage, where you will find normal garage stuff as well as yard games like corn hole (bags) and bocce ball and a Tesla trickle charging cord.
Our Beach and Back Yard
Our back yard is the heart of the property. There is a concrete patio with chairs and gas fire pit off the living room and a brick patio with gas grill, table and seating off the dining room. The large yard has plenty of room for yard games like corn hole and bocce ball or informal fun such as tag, frisbee or catch. There are four Adirondak chairs where you can sit and enjoy the view and sounds of the waves.
Down a gentle hill is our ever changing beach. We recommend water shoes (or old gym shoes) when going into the water since it tends to be rocky until you get about waist deep where the bottom is sandy. The beach itself is always a combination of rocks and sand, but we are amazed by how much it is constantly changing. Some days it is more rocky others there is more sand. Some days there are deep ridges of small rocks creating a border by the water other days it is flat and still other times there are big rocks. The jetty helps protect our beach and is quite picturesque. We also enjoy looking for sea glass by day and Yooperlites by night on the beach.

How do I reach a real human?
The very best way is to text Brenda at 630-461-6889. I work in a warehouse where reception isn’t the best and I get a lot of spam calls, so I would be happy to speak on the phone, but the best way to make that happen is to text me a request to call you. I can be emailed at rentals@dolphinproperties.net, but the response time will be slower since the mailbox is not checked every day.
Do you have Wi-fi?
Yes we have wi-fi from Spectrum. We also have a dedicated work desk with monitor, keyboard, mouse and docking station set up in the queen bedroom.
What is the parking situation?
There is free parking in the driveway. Up to 4 cars will comfortably fit.
How do we check in/check out?
There is self check in with a key box. Early check in and late check out require advance arrangement.
Is there EV charging nearby?
Yes. We have a 110 Tesla trickle charger in the garage. There are Tesla superchargers nearby at the Pleasant Prairie Outlet Mall and also at Woodman’s.
What costs are there in addition to the nightly rental fee?
1. Cleaning is $100.
2. Sales tax is 5.5%
What are your payment policies?
We offer online booking and payment for your convenience. If you prefer to book by phone and pay another way such as check or cash, we would be happy to accommodate. Please text Brenda at 630-461-6889.
What are your cancellation policies?
No refund if cancelled 30 days or less in advance, however we are happy to credit the amount to a future stay in the same calendar year subject to availability
Full refund if cancelled within 48 hours
70% of total rental amount (amount will depend on whether more than 30% has been paid by that time or not) refund if cancelled more than 30 days in advance.
